About Us

About the Impact Network

Local knowledge,
global reach.

A nonprofit foundation backing independent, community-led NGOs.

Why we exist

The need for local, community-led conservation and social impact organisations has never been greater. Real change is rooted in community — and as support systems fall short, the networks connecting local organisations matter more than ever.

We connect independent NGOs on one shared platform, so their work can be discovered, funded and joined, and so knowledge, resources and support flow to where they are needed most.

Our story

How the Impact Network began

The Impact Network grew out of a simple observation: some of the most effective conservation and community work happens in places most people never hear about — led by small, local organisations doing extraordinary things with very little.

Again and again, these organisations faced the same barriers: being found, being funded, and being connected to the people and resources that could help. So we built one shared platform to change that — a place where independent NGOs can be discovered, supported and joined, and where knowledge and resources flow between them.

What guides us

Our values & principles

Sustainability over visibility

Impact that lasts is more important than headlines.

Process over product

How the work is done matters as much as the outcome.

Pride in what we do not do

Restraint is part of doing good; we do not act where we should not.

Community agency

Communities set the priorities; we help them act on them.

Transparency & accountability

Open about what we do, how we work, and where support goes.

How it works

How the network works

01

NGOs join

Independent, community-led organisations join the network and share their work.

02

People support

Anyone can discover them, donate to their projects, or apply to volunteer.

03

Impact flows back

Support reaches the local team directly — and results are shared across the network.

Transparency

How we are funded

We keep the network running on a simple, transparent model — and publish where support goes.

Donations

Gifts from individuals go directly to the projects, or to keeping the network running.

Grants & partnerships

We work with funders and partners whose values align with ours.

Low overheads

We keep our own costs lean, so more support reaches the ground.

“Being part of the network means we are no longer working alone. Our work is seen, supported and shared — and that changes what is possible.”
